This COULD be a clutch problem. Pads sound like they are gone. If its over 5 years old it will be better to replace.

And throw-out bearing in a washer? There is tub and clutch shaft bearings; but it takes quite a bit of experience and tools to change.

Firstly, make sure machine is turned off at the wall.the easiest way is,by carefully putting a small flat blade screwdriver under the plastic ring that holds the door seal to the case of the machine, gently pry the ring off the machine. Now peel the door gasket away from the shell and fold it inwards into the drum. You may need a torch now. Pushing the gasket back look into the left, front of the machine and on the front of the tub you'll see the fill hose that comes from the soap dispenser. Check that the hose has not come loose, or possibly rubbed a hole in it off the tub. You can re-seal it by just applying standard silicone/mastic.Re-fit in reverse, but firstly open the door gasket clip completely to making fitting possible. Once you've fitted it just give it a good squeeze.

Nov 23, 2014. Hello there, E05 is a temperature sensor fault. Now there are a few things to check before replacing the sensor. Remove the back panel on the washer.

There is a heater on the bottom. On the side is a circular sensor with a couple wires attached to it. First make sure all wires are connected. Try tracing wires to board to make sure they are not cut or disconnected along the way. If wires are good remove sensor and check for scaling on surface. If scaling is present clean the sensor then put it back on and try a load.

If problem persists you will need to replace the sensor. Now sometimes the main board can cause this. If all else fails replace the board. Nov 01, 2012.
